“It is just wonderful to be back in Oregon and over the last 15 months we’ve traveled uh to every corner of the United States, uh I’ve now been in 57 states, I think, one left to go. One left to go, uh Alaska and Hawaii I was not allowed to go even though […]

Expelled: No intelligence allowed

Posted by peter on 2008-04-07 Also filed under General, Media Bias, Movies, Political Correctness and Science

I just heard about a really interesting new documentary being released by one of my heroes, Ben Stein. It’s called Expelled: No intelligence allowed. Expelled is a documentary which explores the suppression of free speech in the scientific community regarding any criticism of Darwinism and the persecution of anyone who expresses an […]

Reuters calls noted racist David Duke an “American Academic”

Posted by peter on 2007-02-25 Also filed under General, Media Bias, News and Weird News

This is the first of several unposted entries that I’ve gone back and finished. I started writing this post back when this actually happened but I never finished it. Unfortunately, the link to the Reuters story now seems to be dead (I’ve left it intact for posterity’s sake), but this is too big […]

Posted by peter on 2007-02-20 Also filed under General and Quote of whenever

“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists including Al Qaeda members. Hilary Clinton, 10/10/02

Orange is the new Red

According to a bunch of judges instant messaging is e-mail. That’s just plain stupid, it’s like saying a phone call is the same as sending a letter through the postal system. They are not the same. Generally speaking, you can communicate the same information by both means, but they are not the […]

Elephants dance across the border, with mariachi band

Posted by peter on 2006-10-25 Also filed under General, News and Weird News

Reports of an elephant crossing the river or people trying to smuggle an elephant across were rampant Tuesday while an elaborate political stunt was taking shape near the mouth of the Rio Grande.
The last line of the article is my favorite: The mariachi band was not immediately available for comment.
Read the whole story here: Republican […]

PETA using sex to sell their ideas, again.

Posted by peter on 2006-10-09 Also filed under General, PETA, Political Correctness and Weird Websites

From their billboard depicting a nude woman being milked like a cow, to their more notable “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign, it has been a long held tradition at PETA to use sex to try to promote their cause. Now they’ve launched LettuceLadies.com, a site devoted to a bunch of “ladies” […]

Your right to bear arms isn’t really a right… According to Rosie

Posted by peter on 2006-10-04 Also filed under General, News and Political Correctness

Yesterday on The View Roise O’Donnell said of our constitutional right to bear arms: “It’s not really a right.” I think Rosie really needs to reread the first ten amendments of our constitution, otherwise known as the Bill of Rights. HotAir has video of the interchange if you would like to hear it […]

Al Gore: Cigarettes cause global warming

Posted by peter on 2006-10-03 Also filed under General, News, Political Correctness and Weird News

I can’t believe I hadn’t heard this earlier, apparently in a recent speech, Al Gore claimed that cigarette smoking is a “significant” contributor to global warming. I expect the MSM to keep it quiet when liberals make outlandish claims, but I was surprised that I didn’t really see it anywhere in the blogosphere (at […]
